Guest guest
Whew, I have been out of town and away from computer for a few days! The corpus known as OregonDCs has recently been subjected to some 'stressors' (they were of the 'auto-suggestive type...)and this incredible body has apparently perceived, assessed, reacted, compensated and adapated! There were symptoms associated with this process and it was not always comfortable, but perhaps now we are stronger than ever? I hope so anyway. --------- I have been in Bend sitting at a conference for the last two days in a room full of hundreds of Federal, County and State Public Health Bureaucrats. The subject matter was healthy eating and activity levels. Perhaps I'll report more in future...it will take a while to report all. I want to say one thing quickly after hanging with with all these 'evidence-based', government-employed MPHs, MDs etc. Folks: No other health care community that I am aware of has a better handle on the reality of what " health " TRULY is than the chiropractic profession. Yes, as whacky as we seem to others ( and ourselves) sometimes, the fact is we are going to HAVE to be part of the solution of restoring this old world back in a sane direction because it ceertainly has lost its way. I do not think the rest of the health care world can possibly succeed without us. My own hope is 1) that we absolutely do not become spine specialists or even NMS specialists because we are needed for much more than that and 2) That we stay seperate and distinct (i.e. dentistry) because that is how we will best be able to make our contribution and 3) That we conduct ourselves with the utmost professionalism. Cheers and goodnight.
