Guest guest
Congratulations to your son on his results! And I am so sorry that he has become a part of our little group. As to his future, you should get advice from those who have had CML longer than I, but that won't stop me from saying--given where the drugs are today and what's in the future, I would strongly advise that he pursues what he wants to do with the expectation that he'll be doing it for a long time. It seems to me there are two ways to take this (or another diagnosis): 1> OK, so I'll have to deal with this, but I'm still going to live as full a life as I can OR 2> Curl up and hide. I know that I go back and forth between these two, but certainly stay with the first a lot more than the second--and recommend that position for all of us (whether with CML or not!).
