Guest guest
Maybe we should look at how many aml/cml patients have visited or have live in Florida? Sounds suspicious.... ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour

Guest guest
I have a question about these statistics. Have any of the Florida people been diagnosed with another cancer? My friend, who thinks her building might be 'sick', has been diagnosed with (in order) sqalmous cell skin cancer, leiomyosarcoma (LMS), CML and adenocarcinoma (lung cancer). She was diagnosed with CML and lung cancer 2 years after the LMS diagnosis. She lives in Sarasota, FL - 50 miles south of Tampa. ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
Guest guest
I have to admit I have always thought that the numbers were higher in Florida and the only relation I can think of is Pesticides. I live in Tampa Fl for 17 years now and was diagnosed in 2000 I have never went any further to research because the first 2 years of my living here I worked for 2 different companies that used chemicals such as benzene ( I think I spelled that right) which I was exposed to. ez
Guest guest
I have been in Crestview, Florida for only 10 years this month. Crestview is a VERY close neighbor to Milton, Fl (about 15-20 miles). Where I work I am the only one with CML, but 6 women have had breast cancer within 5 years. Guest guest
Hi , I moved to Tampa to care for my terminally ill sister and being a single mom to 2 boys, it was imperative that I put food on the table and a roof over their heads so I took a job as a printing assistant and then a printer until I was able to find placement with a company that required someone with my skills. I am currently a Sales Director for a very large national organization. I have thought of checking out the previous places I worked and seeing if anyone else there had any type similar cancer but decided that it would be best if I just focus on my well being. One thing I could never forget is the fact that either of the 2 printing companies ever used proper protection for chemical exposure unless OSIA was doing one of their little visits. I remember using the chemicals to clean the ink off of myself and or the machines and I saw the danger sign but was too naïve to give it a second thought. I also really needed the job at the time so I just did what I had to do. ez
