Hello, Shandi, and welcome!

Not a silly question. I don't know what your exact lab results are or

the ranges your lab uses, but, if the values are only " slightly " above

or

below, it probably doesn't mean too much. I wouldn't worry about it.

The best sort of lab reports will also generate a report of both the

relative percentages of the cells and the absolute counts. Both should

be considered together to best decide what the numbers mean.

Please do ask your physician if you are concerned.

Hi everyone. It has been awhile since I posted anything. A couple of

weeks ago my husband went in for his monthly bloodwork. His wbc was

was 8,000 but his rbc, hmg, and his hct were low. When he first

started his research study with Sprycel the same things were low after

the first three months and he had to get three injections that cost

$14,000. I about hit the floor. Our insurance does not pay that well

for anything. My husband has a check up coming up on the 13th of

August.( He has blood work monthly here were we live in victoria

Texas. Then every three months he goes to MD in Houston

Texas to see his doctor) I am praying he does not have to get those

injections again. Just wondering if anybody has any suggestions about

how to keep those blood counts normal if any.
