Hi Everyone,

I've been in a Sprycel trial at the Greenebaum Cancer Center at the University

of land for a little more than a year and have done well with the drug from

the beginning. I was taking 800 mg Gleevec since 2001 but it suddenly stopped

working. My onc first saw a 4% FISH and three months later when I got into the

trial on the last day it was open to new patients I had 17 positive cells out of

20 which is where I was when I was first diagnosed. Be aware that if your

doctor finds something even very small to indicate that you're regressing then

do something immediately!

Now for the good news. Yesterday I got my latst bone marrow test results and

they were completely 0 in every aspect including PCR. The PCR was taken from

the marrow and not peripheral blood so we still need to do that. For now I'm

very grateful for this new drug but, as we probably all are, forever vigilant.
