When I had been on it for only about 2-3 weeks I developed pancreatitus and had to stop the drug for about 10 days. It was a very slight bout but it is a known side effect and so they were looking out for it and caught it early. However when I started back they had to cut the dose from 400 to 200. I have to be checked again at the end of the month. I am no longer in need of Octreotide and have a number of 200UG/ML vials which are of no use to me.
