Welcome. Sorry your husband wasn't able to tolerate treatment or stay negative. Hopefully a better, more user - friendly treatment will come up soon. Don't worry about keeping it short, we are here to listen. This is a great place to unload and get support. As you may have noticed we joke around sometimes but we take this disease and our support of each other very seriously.

Hello, everyone.

Thanks for being here!

I just joined this list.

I am not yet myself diagnosed with cancer (don't yet know when/whether

I will be) but have a long (longer than I might wish) personal history

of both professional and personal involvement with the cancer

diagnoses, treatments and eventual deaths of people I have loved.

I'm hoping perhaps your clearly wonderfully active group can be a kind

of support group for me from time to time, and that maybe I can also

contribute a few things back.

That would help me a lot.

My name is marte, and I spell it with a lower-case " m " -- for somewhat

silly [? ;-)] reasons! Don't at all mind how anyone else might spell it.

I'm female, will be 77 years old my next birthday (December) and

currently live " by myself " . In Washington State.
