I have a question..

I wonder if any one has been able to take a diet pill supplement without any

consequences.

I personally have never taken a diet pill because I am a scardy cat:-) but I

have thought about a new one that's just come on the market recently that a

lot of people I know are using not only for weight loss but energy. I

understand that when prescribed by a doctor they also give you vitamin B

shots. The name of it is Adipex.

Any one ever heard of it or know if something like this can be dangerous to

us?

Hi ,

It would be really interesting to see if anything could be used in

conjunction with Gleevec to be SAFELY used to help with appetite

control and/or weight loss help.

I would love to try something, just to see if it could help.

I cross posted my Edema/Swelling question on the Asian group, and a

great many, kind people have said that they have had to go very low

salt to keep the edema/swelling under control. Anywhere from 2000

down to 1000 mg/day of sodium to control swelling. So, this is my

new summer challenge to give to myself. It will be very difficult

but I'm going to give it my best and see what happens.

They've been advertising " Ally " (spelling might be wrong) alot on tv

etc. but the one thing I heard about it is that if you have anything

greasy/fatty, you can be sure you will need to wear a diaper. (

Maybe it's like those crazy potato chips that came out a while

back???) Most Gleevec users have off and on bathroom issues, so I'm

not sure this would be a good thing.

If anyone sees any of the cml experts, maybe you could ask on behalf

of the CML community, if there are any safe products to use in

conjunction with Gleevec. That would be great.

Thanks, Lynn from WA
