Guest guest
Christene, Yes, I had that, I didn't have the cold feeling but my little baby toe on the right side would go numb. I have heard of other women with the cold feeling though. I had numbness and a lot of tingling in my hands and feet mainly on right side. Guest guest
Yup....I know about the ice cold feeling. I got a creeping feeling as well, like the ice cold was moving through my muscles slowly. It was very unsettling. Pattyusmcprincess3002 <usmcprincess3002@...> wrote: Ladies, I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced a numbness or tingling sensation in their lower leg (calf). This has been going on about as long as my skin issues, but started in my foot. Now I'm losing sensation in my leg but ironically it's ice cold! I'm very afraid. I know I need to go to the doc, but all you of you know when we do that, we must go armed with information. Has anybody had this? I just want to know if it could be implant related....Thanks ChristeneOpinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals. Guest guest
Patty, Did it go away after explant? I'm actually scared because I really can't feel my leg, just the cold feeling. > Ladies, I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced a numbness or > tingling sensation in their lower leg (calf). Guest guest
Yes, it did go away after explant, but it was very erratic in frequency and actually took quite awhile before I could say I did not have another episode. Like a couple of years. While it was very freaky to experience, it did not happen often. It has been a very long time since I have experienced it....I've been explanted for over 8 years now and I would say the last time I felt it was maybe 4 years ago or so. I never did figure out what it was or what caused it. Just another one of those mysterious things that came and went during my whole implant saga. Guest guest
This is an interesting line. About a year ago, I was diagnosed with " tarsal tunnel syndrome " --like carpal tunnel syndrome, but in the feet. I'd been having a progressive numbing in my toes for about 2 years prior to that. After diagnosis, I was prescribed orthodic devices, which I have used, and don't really see any improvement but at least the numbness seemed to stop growing. Since I've been on Gleevec (about 3 months) I seem to have a little more numbness. So--1) could the increasing numbness be related to the Gleevec? 2) More afield-- could the numbmess in the first place be related to the CML? Guest guest
A friend of mine who has lupus also had really bad lymphodema and neuropathy. I would ask your doctor to refer you to a neurologist...I have had lymphodema in the past, but it more related to a nasty hospitalization I had. Talk to your doctor, to r/o anything else like diabeties. Hope this helps. > > I have been dealing with numbness, burning and shooting pains in my > toes since August.
