Guest guest
Donna, you're absolutely right, it's all about the technique. I've always had my BMB's without any sedation (just the local lidocane) and I've never had problems with them because the doctors who did them were very experienced. I have heard of some horror stories though from patients who had doctors who weren't used to doing them so it is important to ask the doctor how many of them he/she routinely does. Guest guest
I have had two BMB. The first one was extremely painful, have a peice of ? floating on my lower back, that gives me pain every now and again sinsce april. The dr messed around in me until the local wore off and wanted to proceed to remove apiece of bone, Of course I said no. give me another shot. I put off the second one for two months. Finally gave in, gave me several shots of local lidocane, somthing for nausea and 30cc of demoral, Ok so I didn't feel much at first, and 30 mins later and three holes later and eleven tries, not enough marrow to test, and I was hanging my head in the trash... Oh yeah Pain makes me very sick .. I had pain down in my right leg and the dr said oh sorry that is because we kept bumping the nerve. No thatnk you. No more self inflicted pain for me... So now I have pain on the lower left back and also inside my right thigh.. Anita [ ] Re:MD --BMB's Donna, you're absolutely right, it's all about the technique.
