Very encouraging data! goes for his first Bone Marrow Biopsy on Tuesday - we are so eager to see how he has reponded to Sprycel! It has been 6 months now. If you remember, he was taken off Gleevec about 7 months ago and at that time his onc did not due a BMB to really see how he was responding to Gleevec. It was an oversight at the time and we all cant believe (in hindsight) how that was overlooked. So, Tuesday will finally give us some answers. Well, I dont know how long it will take to get test results but we are hoping and praying for a 0/20 reading...that would be the best Christmas gift ever (well, besides a 3-log reduction--but maybe we can ask for that one next year!!). His onc really feels that based on his recent PCR tests that he will show on paper that he is truly CCR. I hope so much for that so that can take a deep sigh of relief (he hasnt been able to for the last year and a half or so) and know that Sprycel is doing it's job... Regards Cervera (wife of Cervera.
