The first step is a simple blood test. If you work for a large corporation, you should contact Human Resources and ask them to sponsor a recruitement drive. If you don't work for a large corporation their are local recruitment centers. My brother used one on Long Island. You might try calling your local hospital or check out this site... http://www.marrow.org Because our kids have a higher chance of getting leukemia, I think we all should register. The more folks we can encourage to register now, increases the possibility of finding a donor if ever we or someone we love ever needs one. Sometimes local blood centers will have a free donor day. I hope this helps. If you are having it done to find a match, your insurance may cover it through your local doctor or clinic.
