Guest guest
Dear Dr. Garbrielle Beaubrun. . . Thanx so very much for your inspirational post to our group; at this time during your loss of your beloved brother. I use anti-bacteria soap, wear masks during the flu season; try to take the necessary precautions. With the flu season upon us, I had my shot last week. I have taken the shot per schedule, having had Pneumonia 3xs; since its approval. I have a concern about the variation in time I have been given to take this shot. I have been told every 3, 5, 7, or 10 years and 1 lifetime shot; this difference being given to me by 5 different doctors has left me to take the shot every 3-5 years (hehehe). When I was diagnosed in 11/2003; I had 15 other fatal/terminal/chronic diseases. . .all of which I call Chronic Illnesses. I was diagnosed in the accelerated stage proceeding to the blast stage. My diagnosing Doctor gave me a 2 month morbid mortality, a referral to the UMCCC and placed me on Gleevec per protocol. . .telling me " if I were you, I would get my affairs in order " . When I left my consultation on 12/18/2003, per 8 CML Doctors/Specialists; I knew that I wasn't a candidate for a BMT and I had 2-5 months morbid mortality. " I was no longer on Man's time, I am on GODs time " . Merry Xmas to me. . .I had a 2 1/2 week pity party. . .then I armed myself to fight the battle of my life for my life. I went through H**L with side effects, several of the Pioneers dubbed me 'Queen of the Side Effects' and 'Cheerleader' for the group. After I reached " 0 " per the FISH test on 1/5/2005, I was given #811 by Zavie and began a " WELCOME NEWBIE " Letter to send to any Newbies who posted their email address. Currently I am 0.00136 on the RT PCR Test; have side effects 2-3 days a week but like your brother had 5 years Survival. . .I am at the threshold of beginning year 5. I know that your post will be very inspirational to others as it was for me. . ..'everyday's a gift from GOD " . Like your brother worked up until the end; with my 22+ Chronic Illnesses, I plan on being up and about and going till the end. Thanx again, le. . .I have you and yours in my prayers during this time of loss. Take care, brother & sister survivors. . .as always, I have ALL in my prayers. " K " " I AIN'T FINISHED YET " !!!
