Guest guest
I think it sounds like your wife will be just fine if she takes the normal precautions you mentioned. I was dx.d in Jan. 2004. I teach first grade. Talk about GERMS!! They fly everywhere in the classroom full of young children! Many of the students come to school sick because both of their parents work, or they don't want to stay home. They cough and sneeze without covering their mouths, etc. YUCK! I experienced low white counts for a while, then very low red counts. Now, fortunately, everything seems to be fine. I think I got sick less than most of the other teachers. Maybe it was because I was more conscious of washing my hands and using antibacterial hand sanitizers. I experienced pains in my legs during the first weeks as I adjusted to being on Gleevec, but other than that I worked full time and never even told anyone I work with that I have CML. Good luck! in NY ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
