Guest guest
Has anyone taken a test for BCR-ABL1? I was given this test for the first time last week (I was diagnosed with CML in April 2005). Usually my bloodwork comes back looking pretty good, thanks to Gleevec (400 mg). But this new test found I was positive for both the b2a2 (.9 percent) and b3a2 (21 percent!) fusion gene transcripts, whatever those are. My doc was familiarizing himself with this test and its explanations while I waited in the waiting room yesterday -- it's new to him too. ly the results scared the bejezus out of me. I don't quite understand what it means, and he didn't seem 100 percent clear on the concept either. Can anyone help elucidate me? Thanks a million. I am one confused patient at this point. _________________________________________________________________ Boo! Scare away worms, viruses and so much more!
