Guest guest
Hi , Don'tknow anything about your case but I do want to give you another option and not because I don't like s Hopkins, either. I live in Northern Virginia (3 1/2 years) and when I needed to get in a Sprycel trial I started at town Univ. (Hopkins didn't have the trial). After three bone marrow tests I didn't get into the trial so I immediately went to the University of land Greenbaum Cancer Center and discovered with one bone marrow test that my cytogenetics were 17 positive out of 20, 6% positive fish and my PCR waas around 5 in whole numbers. They immediately accepted me into the trial and I am now 00000000000 in every measurement. PCR of course is non-detectable because since there's no cure for CML there has to be some cells in the blood or marrow. My care has been excellent from Dr. Rapaport, a specialist in CML, his nurse practitioner Hodges and everyone else I see when I go every three months. Just wanted you to think about it since my experience has been so good. Let me know if you want to know anything else. Best wishes. Guest guest
Hi K, My husband sees Dr. Doug at Hopkins. He's very knowledgeable and very caring AND will take as much time as necessary to answer questions and explaing things. We would recommend him highly. I am also in need of a Cardiologist, Orthopedist, Dermatologist, Dentist and Oral Surgeon; to date my PCP has been managing my COPD~~acute bronchitis. I had 15 fatal/terminal/ chronic diseases at diagnosis in 2003. . .now I have 22+ Chronic Illnesses (hehehe). You may post any information to the group, or email me privately, and ALL responses to this inquiry are greatly appreciated. Take care. . .ALL are in my prayers. . .
