SUMMARY

What should be the criteria for selecting an HIV

vaccine trial candidate is neither a rhetorical

question nor value-neutral assumption. Selection of an

HIV vaccine candidate should not be exclusively based

on bio-medical considerations. Dr. will offer

a comparative analysis arguing that therapeutic vaccine

has a greater equity value in the Indian context.
