Hey. I have had numb fingers and occasional feet while on Gleevec and

Spyrcel. I think its just neuropathy from the drugs. I also, while on

Gleevec,

had episodes of my face and arm getting really numb/asleep if I laid on either

side??? that seems to be better.

I get a lot of scalp pain (burning) like someone pulled my hair really hard.

It was so bad during the night last night that it actually woke up me. It

was EXTREME scalp tenderness. I am not sure where this is coming from. I

think I remember others complaining of this before.......

As far as the numbness, I dont want another pill. I just rub and caress the

areas of my hands until I get some relief. Its more of an annoyance,

although it can be painful. I tend to use Ibuprofen for my times when my bone

pains get too bad. I take the minimum dose to take the edge of discomfort off.

Seems to work thus far!.

Thanks so much for writing about your side effects on both our major drugs. In

a year and a hakf if Spyrcel this oddly symmetrical numbness when others have

the neuropathy all over the place is interesting, Ifind. Mine has gotten

marginally better but still bothers me. My handwriting is atrocious now and I

hate that. I like to be able to send a handwritten card or note anx have it be

attractive. The more I read of the side effects of others, the luckier I feel.

This doesn't help my typing either.

I have had the scalp tenderness. The good thing is it came and went a couple of

times and has not bothered me for a couple months hopefully another phase gone

away.
