heart burn and rapid heartbeat

Hey all-

I had HORRIBLE heartburn on Gleevec but that seems to be a lot better on

Spyrcel. I took Protonix while on Gleevec however, I was told that you

shouldn't take antacids while on Spyrcel. Something about, it works better as

far as

absorption with stomach acid.

Anyway- I do have lots of episodes of rapid heartbeats, palpitations and

shortness of breath. I also have Mitral valve prolapse, so I don't know how

much is related to one or the other.

Have anyone of you on Sprycel experienced a rapid heartbeat and bad

heart burn. The ono says take only tums or mylanta two hours before or

after Sprycel. I am only on 20mg twice a day. I am in a deep

remission and the doctor only looks at my counts and says don't worry

about other symptoms. the racing heart could be anxiety since EKG are

always normal and I guess I am the anxiety queen. Just wondering if

anyone has a secret to controlling heartburn.

exiaty queen that would be my daughter natasha, she have cml, sorry for my

anglish, i am french, but she to have very bad heart burn, and the doctors here

have no idea about nothing, what to take or what so ever, its a small town that

we live in , i would ask the same question as you,, does any one know what to

take for bad heartburn , (acide reflex) she is suffering a lot to, cant even lay

down flat, feel like vomiting all the time , she is on 120 twice dayly and she

is not feeling to good, bones hurt, very bad heart burn , headack and muscle

cramp and her anxiety are pretty bad , she cant evern go somewere alone any

more,
