Guest guest Posted December 11, 2007 Report Share Posted December 11, 2007 hi everyone,recently I've had terrible lower back pain with pain going down the sides of my legs and in my knees. My GP doc put me on 4mg of prednizone {6 day pack}and oh my G-d,the swelling around my eyes went down, my brain fog went away and I can think more clearly,I have soooo much more energy [i forgot what that was like}.Although i didn't sleep the first 2 nights I felt great the whole week i felt human again. The pain is a little better in my back and knees but still there. I had an mri on my spine about 8 months ago and it showed a couple of buldging discs, before he does another mri He wants me to take another 6 day pack of prednizone, my question is how does the prednizone affect the Gleevec? i know i can't stay on it for too long. Is it ok for 2 weeks? Also I know the Gleevec can cause the back pain and knee pain. How will i know where it's coming from?
