Guest guest
Dear Lora, I don't know if I ever heard a story as despondent as yours, yet you bounced back from the abyss because you didn't give up. Yes, the costs can be astronomical. I go to MDACC and just got an explanation of befefits and the bill for one visit was $13,654. If I didn't have insurance, I wouldn't be able to afford that, either. Lora, I was wondering if there was a " free " or " charity " hospital where you live. I had a friend whose insurance was cancelled when she developed cancer. Her doctor worked at the charity hospital and told her he could give her the same treatment and she went there. Her husband successfully sued the insurance company and was re-instated. There is PPA http://www.freemedicinerevolution.com/?gclid=CPGNh4yWwpECFQT-lgodw3FYDw who could help with your other drugs. Lora, I was getting Procrit and Aranesp shots for some time, until Medicare cut it off saying it was dangerous. I was surprised to find that my counts remain the same, even without the Procrit and Aranesp shots every week. If your husband can't get the shots, they may be able to substitute something else. There are credit counselors and there are credit counselors, but not all do it free. This organization does free counseling and sometimes they can get the debt erased and forgiven under unusual circumstances. You can give them a try: http://www.myfinancialgoals.org/credit_counseling.html?gclid=COa0nfCWwpECFQMQlwo\ dBCY4DQ I wish you all the luck in the world and thank you for recounting hour harrowing experiences with us.
