Guest guest
Dear , Glad you are feeling better and think you might live. We all have those days, but I always think of Annie's song " Tomorrow " : " The sun will come up tomorrow, tomorow....... " I remember my first days on Sprycel. If you can stick with it, it gets better, but I was one of those who couldn't tolerate the maximum dose. I had pneumonia, pericardial and pleural effusions, the same as a few I know, but everyone doesn't have the same side effects, so for some, the drug is very effective. I know one who got off because of this, but couldn't tolerate Tasigna and is now back on Sprycel. You have to be monitored very closely. There are treatments to overcome this (Lasix and Prednisone), there is a procedure to remove the fluid from the lining of the lung and another to keep the fluid out, but if there is another drug of choice, I personally would go for that. It is painful. I know 2 people who went through it. Do look out for and take some " me " time. Hope you continue to feel better and be well. Cheers, Lottie
