Guest guest
I've been on gleevec for nearly 5 years. When I was still working, there were times when I would start to work on my computer and for a few moments it seemed completely foreign to me. As if it had dropped down from Mars. I would have a disk in hand and not know what to do next. Very unsettling. I used to pride myself on my memory, quick recall and concentration skills. Not so now. The upside, as we all know, is that I'm alive. As for working while on disability -- some private insurers do not let you work for one nanosecond. Social Security, on the other hand, does allow you to do so -- not full time, but you can earn somewhere around $1,000/month without jeopardizing your SSDI. That said, it's best to check with your local office for particulars as many others have suggested. peace, Kathy
