Guest guest
Congratulations Dennis, you are a big fat zero!!! The only time you'll want to hear that I'm sure I suspect that Zavie will be along momentarily to asign you a zero club number. Guest guest
That means you are now in Complete Cytogenetic Remission (the CCR acronym you see in a lot of posts). From now on you should have PCR tests to monitor the residual cml. A FISH at 0 means that you are probably at 2 log reduction or better, next goal is to get a 3 log (10 time less cml cells than at 2 log), or Major Molecular Remission (MMR). But the important thing to remember is that the main cml study shows that you have very good odds (better than 95% at 5 years) of staying in remission. Marcos. I have received my second FISH test results. They are as follows: FISH Results: Negative for BCR/ABL, t (9;22), fusion by FISH Nuc ish (ABL1, BCR)x2 (200) Interpretation and Comments: The FISh study showed no evidence of a BCR/ABL Philadelphia (9;22) translocation. A normal hybridization pattern (BCR/ABL1 dual fusion probe; Abbott Molecular, INC/BYSIS, INC. ) was documented. The classical translocation pattern reported in the September 2007 study was not observed in this study. The BCR probe spans the common breakpoints of both the major and minor BCR. If a low level of BCR/ABL positive cells or minimal residue is suspected, analysis by RT-PCR should also be considered. This test will not detect other abnormalities that may have clinical significance. Am I a ZERO? Thanks for your reply (especially ZAVIE) D
