Guest guest
I checked with my ONC today for the results of my Q-PCR in Jan. 7. The results were as I expected. My vacation from Gleevec is over. My CML counts continued to rise although not by leaps and bounds. I have returned to 400mg Gleevec a day and will be monitering my CBC and have another Q-PCR in a month and see what happens. I have Procrit approved through the VA. I am not on intravenous chemo so the Insurance Cos will not cover Procrit in Mo. We hope that the red blood cells keep producing and that I do not have to any assistance. If Gleevec keeps knocking my red counts down then we will try another to see if that will keep my counts in check. Guest guest
When I went on Medicare Part B last year I found that Gleevec was covered under the Part D at the highest co-pay level. I had no problem qualifing for an insurance plan that would cover me under the new rules. The premium was not as expensive I thought it would be. I have kept the program in place as a backup plan to my VA prescription only coverage and for hospitalization if needed. H. > > I checked with my ONC today for the results of my Q-PCR in Jan. 7.
