Innovations Fund for HIV/AIDS, a joint initiative of NACO, UNDP and INP+, is a

financial instrument to support PLHA groups, community based organizations and

individuals with innovative ideas in HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and related

issues in India. The fund will assist in the development of multiple small but

effective innovative projects thus creating a space for testing fresh, and

critical thinking that supplements the National HIV/AIDS Control Program.

Objectives:

The main objectives of the fund are:

a.. Provide funding that will attract, encourage and support small, but

innovative projects to address HIV-related issues at the local levels.

b.. Encourage mainstreaming of HIV/AIDS in developmental work.

c.. Facilitate sharing of ideas for programming that may not have been explored

within the confines of NACP II yet.

d.. Create space and opportunities for enhancing the involvement of PLHA in

India.

INP+ is the fund management secretariat for the Innovations Fund. A Project

Steering Committee (PSC) consisting of a number of stakeholders has been formed

with NACO as its chair to review and sanction proposals for funding and to

provide technical support for the effective implementation of the initiative.

A proposal submission format has been developed to help organizations to prepare

their proposals. For those interested groups or individuals who find it

difficult to develop their ideas in to proposals, INP+ will be happy to offer

technical support. For more details, kindly visit www.innovationsfund.info

Completed proposals can be submitted to INP+ by e-mail

(innovationsfund@...) or to the following postal address.
