Guest guest
- Wow, Gleevec doesn't cause fatigue? That is the number one side effect in my book. Is there a way you can see a CML specialist? If your having to educate your doctor as you go along, that could be a dangerous conversation if you ever started getting sicker. That my 2 cents though. When I was first diagnosed, the hospital assigned me to an oncologist who later I found out that he was a lung cancer specialist. I fired him and went with a doctor who actually knew of CML and knew how to treat it after he pretty much brushed me off with 3-5 years to live and a horrendous bone marrow biopsy where he mulitated me. The difference with a doctor who knows the disease is worth millions. They are on top of research, new drugs, programs and clinical trials. They also should have other CML patients. I don't know but for me it was a wonderful change. I am glad you are doing well on the medication and wish you nothing but the best. 35 CML 5/13/05 Spyrcel 100 mg (Gleevec 800 mg until 8/07) Wife and mother of 3 (12,8,6) ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
