Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I didn't believe it would ever happen to me but it has. I am having to choose between medicine and food. When I left California for the Heat Shock protein vaccine trial since Gleeve wasn't working for me I was already on disability. That was because a colleageu was so aggressive and mean that I had to leave my job as Director of Development of a Hospice Foundation. Most of you know that dsability pays about $900 a month. Lately, while living unhappily in Northern Virginia and spending all day everyday sending out resumes I started going to a Medicare psychiatrist for medication monitoring. As time wore on she kept adding medicine and now I can't afford anything but generic clonopin. I'm supposed to also be taking lithium and a new drug. Can't be done. I spend all my time looking for work--half a day sending out resumes for career positions that I need in order to build any kind of retirement and the other half looking for " little " jobs. Today that was a job at Blockbuster video store. I'm hoping that a cousin who has helped me in the past will return to his home in Dallas from wherever he is on the globe. If you have any ideas, please let me know. Can you stilll go to Canada for cheaper drugs and can you do that for more than one round of drugs? Any information would be helpful. The good news is that I met with a career counselor at Northern University Community College. He was very savvy about my situation and also the closed society of Virginia. Since I want to work in non-profit development, media relations and grant writinghe said colleges and universities are always looking for people like me so I'll begin that campaign tomorrow. I know that somehow I'll make it throgh this and get a job but right now the stress level is way beyond the safety factor. Peace, L
