Guest guest
Dear all, Ratan’s case about Manipur is not the only one. We have the same plight in case of one of our male clients in Delhi. He was getting ARV from the Ram Manoher Lohia, hospital but the authorities told him that Efavirenz was out of stock and the fresh stock would arrive only in May. So what is the future of this PLWHA, who was getting ARV’s from free ARV roll out centre. He just cannot afford it but he has to arrange money to buy Efavirenz from local market. As it is the family income has suffered a set back, as he is not able to work productively. The govt. should have taken all these aspects in account before starting free ARV roll out. A regular sustained supply of ARV’s is very important, and there should be some provision to reimburse the cost of out of stock medicines to the PLWHA’s, so that they can easily purchase the same from local market.
