Guest guest
Dear Ratan and all forum members, Greetings from positive people from Delhi I would firstly appreciate Ratan and MNP+ as well for bringing up the issue-what has been happening in the grass root level in a state where HIV preverance among the general population was more than 8% (ANC) some years back in some districts. This issue of running out of stock should be an issue which need to be raised at the international level and the accountability of the government agency like SACS-manipur and responsibility of the people who ever involve in this is questionable. Those Statemen, politicians and phylantropic leaders, student unions/ leaders (as more then 50% of the infected are between the age group of 15 to 24) and all responsible citizens working with the development of the society in the state and who claimed themselve as the leader and patriots at deferent levels with defferent forms from different plateforms should be ashame and should be inform that they should not play with those people who are living with and struggling with this disease. We have our rights to treatment and health under the Indian constitution and UNGASS, Paris Charter - Declaration at international level. So, if the ARV Roll-Out process / procurement could smoothly happened in other states like Delhi (which is a Capital and all the UN agencies and international watchdogs were present and based-on). We wanted to know the reason why and what are the factors that leads to this kind of horrible situation in the State of Manipur. If the PLWHA (People Living With HIV/AIDS) in Delhi could access ART from the existing ART Clinics from RML and LNJP hospitals, what is the different between those PLWHA from Delhi and Manipur. It has been difficult to travel to the North Eastern States like Manipur for Foreigners and Tourists due to inner line permits. The responsible government at the state level and national level with other stakeholders should not take advantages of the gun-culture. There should be no discrimination based on the state where they come from and those people who belongs to the neglected region. If the government can sent a convoy of Army to villages in the hill under the codename " Clear-Off Operation " , why not the medicine cannot be made available at least in the State Capial of Manipur. Eventhough we are living with HIV we are still proud of being what we are and we have an identity, and our right to healh and treatment is a must at all cost. Of course its a " NONNEGOTIABLE " Please let all the whole community of this world be aware that; our life with HIV virus is worth as all the others who are not aware of their HIV status. In Solidarity. Ricky Tombing Tel: 9871259023 E-mail: <plwhafellowship@...>
