Guest guest
- I too had these pains early in treatment on Gleevec. It is the Gleevec, killing off all those bad cells and zapping all those extra white blood cells. It basically is the medication telling you that it is working. The pain is a good thing. Although not fun to go through. I have had some degree of bone/muscle/joint pains off and on for the last 2 3/4 years. I just chalk it up to the medication is working. I manage my bad days with 400-800mg of Ibuprofen. Another thing that has worked wonders is a HOT soak in the tub. Light some candles, turn out the lights and veg!!! Best wishes and stay strong!
