CML following treated lymphoma.

Hi everyone. I'm new to the group. I was diagnosed with CML in

November. I had Lymphoma in 2001. I received 8 rounds of CHOP with

something called Rituxan (immunotherapy) and currently in remission

from this. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced these two types of

cancers. My onco says he's stumped as to why. He called Stanford and

was told that haven't heard of this???? He also says CML isn't related

to my prior treatment for lymphoma (I guess because did not receive

chemo.) I'm very curious. I'm 35 years old and wondering if I drank the

wrong water, stood too close to a faulty microwave etc..... (Not

really, but just seems rather bizarre to me.) I also wonder if this

has any bearing on whether or not I should or shouldn't get a BMT.

When I was diagnosed/treated for the lymphoma (NHL large B cell)

Stanford had a hard time deciding whether I should have a " stem cell

rescue " which uses some of your own " cleaned up " marrow. Curious about

anyone's feedback.
