Guest guest
By the late afternoon I sound like I'm drunk, or like someone whose dentures are slipping. My jaw and the lower part of my face just feel exhausted and sore. They've ruled out TMJ and dental problems, and I've resigned myself to living with this mysterious but painful condition. It never occurred to me to question Gleevec's role, but now that you bring it up, I don't know why! From: barb521@... Date: Fri, 25 Jan 2008 10:11:01 -0500 Subject: [ ] Gleevec affects jaw???? Did someone in this group have information on damage to jawbones from Gleevec? I did a search on the group website but couldn't find it. I know when there was discussion about heart problems with this medicine; there was also something about a major problem with the jawbone. I have been having problem with my jaw and it's getting worse. I don't think it is TMJ because I have that on the other side and it's not any way similar symptoms. It started with what I thought was an ear ache. I'm trying to get an appointment with a ENT but thought I would do some research as most have no experience with Gleevec problems.
