Guest guest
Dear Marri, Until I learn who you are, I will have to refer to all of you with your user names, I am used to seeing a name and email address. Your reply tickled me about the hospital getting the pants sued off of them. If that happened here, they would need a traffic policeman to keep the lawyers from running over each other. LOL. Yes 40,000 people who may be infected with HIV or Hepatitis makes you wonder how safe we are. Add to that the MRSA which they hall the " hospital germ " . My husband and I both had it at the same time. He was in the hospital in isolation and quaranteened for 29 days, as I was on a plane heading to MDACC. When I told them I had MRSA, they immediately quaranteened me and wouldn't let me out of the office. The doctor came in with gown, mask and gloves and a set for me. They got me out as quickly as possible and sent me out the side door. I don't think Dr. Talpaz will forget that any time soon. No one told me I was contagious or I would have been wearing a mask the whole time, but it was too late, I had been all over the clinic. I took 3 different antibiotics for 2 months, plus the sulfa drug, Bactrim. They had to compound my drugs and I needed to get it presto so I could get to the airport. When I think back, it was a nightmare, yet the doctors would walk in my husband's room without protection. A deacon came to visit my husband and I told him he had to wear a mask. He put it on and said he had claustrophobia and ran out of the room, dropping the mask and gloves as he fled. We both laughed about it, but the sad story behind it is the man was a traffic controller and he gave the wrong information to the pilots and there was a terrible plane crash. He had a nervous breakdown and never fully recovered. He had nightmares every night. I guess that's worse than having MRSA. I can't believe that people are still willing to go to that hospital. I guess if they aren't getting the google pipe they feel they are safe. LOL You go tell 'em like it is, Marri. Blessings, Lottie
