Guest guest
Hi , Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragment. I have been following your husband's journey through the site, and the one thing I greatly admire is YOU. You really show support and great love and devotion to your husband, and I truely believe that that love is one element that truely helps the patient in this CML Odyssey. We all have different battles to face with CML, but as a group unit, we are a very strong bunch of people in this fight. I tell my kids that I'm going to live to be 100 so watch out! Then they laugh and say, " You can live at MY house! " Can you imagine if we can overcome and survive CML, live long enough to get the cure, and then have a long productive life? Sign me UP, because I certainly didn't sign up for this disease! Much love, Lynn > > > Hello my CML friends and caregivers,> >> > Is there anyone active on this group that is taking the newly > > approved,> > Tasigna(AMN)drug?> >> > I've been on Gleevec for almost 4 years now, and although I look great> > on paper, (labs, PCR's, etc.) Gleevec has really kicked my butt with> > side effects and things really came to a head last week.> >> > I am currently on a Dr. approved break off of Gleevec, and I feel> > amazing now. Guest guest
Ok, I am new to this message board stuff and this is my first attempt on this web site. I am taking AMN 107 since April of this year. I was newly diagnosed and was accepted on a study at MDA Houston. I have had some side effects, I am 53, and still working. I felt so good a month or so ago, I thought this is great. Now I am tired and dragging. I was wondering if this is normal and if every continued to work and lead normal lives. But, as far as AMN, it seems from all I read of people taking Gleevec, it is easier. I have headaches and some minimal side effects. Any particular questions, please let me know. > > > Hello my CML friends and > caregivers,> >> > Is there anyone active on this group that is taking > the newly > > approved,> > Tasigna(AMN)drug?> >> > I've been on > Gleevec for almost 4 years now, and although I look great> > on paper, > (labs, PCR's, etc.) Gleevec has really kicked my butt with> > side > effects and things really came to a head last week.> >> > I am > currently on a Dr. approved break off of Gleevec, and I feel> > > amazing now.
