Guest guest
Lynn- I COMPLETELY hear and understand everything you said. I have walked in those shoes. Some days still walking in them but I will tell you to try Spyrcel. I was so against it like I said, but it has been life altering. I am very impressed. I have a life again. Every symptom you brought up, I had and some I still have. Some days a shower, makeup and hair is an overwhelming thought. But, I feel like I can handle things better with this drug. I too struggle with should I or shouldn't I switch since I was so responsive to Gleevec and doing (cellularly) so well. I am finding out that I am still holding my own in a remission with the new drug and hope it will continue. I am also a person who has always required very little sleep and always on the go (type A) personality. I am good with 5 hours of sleep. On Gleevec, I had to sleep 10 hours and NEVER felt rested. I was ready to go to bed as soon as I woke up in the morning. On Spyrcel, I am sleeping 6-7 hours and feeling rested although still suffer with the fatigue and really have to limit what I do. I can however clean the house, etc which I couldn't due on Gleevec. I am still learning to pace myself and pay for it some times. Its reassuring to speak to someone who has the same thing including the same symptoms. We are not alone and please email me if ever you would like. -thanks for the kind words and I think of the both of you often and hope is doing well. Hugs and hope- CML 5/13/05 Spyrcel 100mg Wife and mother of 3 (12,8,6) ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
