Mandy-

I was on Gleevec 800mg with horrendous side effects yet response was really

good. I switched over in Early September and I LOVE this drug. I still have

mild symptoms such as the fatigue, diarrhea and nausea every now and again

but seems like even all that is less then I had while on Gleevec. I take mine

before bed to sleep through the major side effects. I still have bone pain

as well but not as bad as on Gleevec. I am finally " living again " , as I was

just existing on Gleevec. I feel alive and am bale to due a majority on the

things again. I still get tired but I have learned to pace myself. This has

been a blessing thus far!.

An added plus, I retained so much fluid on Gleevec always have a swooshing

in my ear and a puffy belly and face. With in 9 days of being off Gleevec, I

dropped 16 pounds, and it hasn't come back.. It was ALL fluid. No wonder I

was always short of breath with any activity....
