Position: Manager-Medical Services

international development organization, working in the field of reproductive and

sexual health. The organization is focused on enabling the poor to lead healthy

lives, through the informed use of health products and services.

PSI manages a number of integrated reproductive health programmes across the

country, addressing HIV/ AIDS prevention, family planning and maternal and child

health.

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

Member of the five member senior strategic planning unit of the OPL program.

Works closely with the Counseling Consultant in management of the VCT and

helpline programs. Key responsibilities are:

* Overall planning, strategizing and oversight of VCT and helpline programs.

* Provide technical assistance on medical and programmatic issues.

* Train PSI and other staff on various topics related to STI/HIV/AIDS

* Recruitment of staff, appraisals and to ensure staff motivation.

* Ensure quality of services (VCT, STI, care and Support)

* Documentation and dissemination of program lessons.

* Represent PSI as and when required.

* Provide technical assistance on issues related to HIV/AIDS and STIs to other

departments (Communication and research

Desired Profile of the Candidate:

Qualification: MBBS, Post Graduation in Public Health/Community Medicine/Health

Management.

Experience: 5-10 years in Public Health programs with specific background in

HIV/AIDS.

Job Skills: Training/teaching ability; willing to be open and learn about

research, communications and program management; Should be able to represent the

program to senior external stakeholders; Computer literate and have excellent

communication skills.

Skills & Attributes shall include:

Good team player

Strong background in HIV/AIDS

Willing to travel upto one week every month.

Ability to be flexible and still be assertive when needed.
