Hi everyone,

Zazzy here. Thank you to Lottie for pointing me to this group and

thanks to Tracey for inviting me!

Some of you may remember me. For others here is my story:

I was diagnosed with CML in Jan. 2001 after undergoing open heart

surgery just three months prior. 3 months after my CML dx, I was told

that I had breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy.

I live in St. Maries, Idaho, in the panhandle,near Spokane, WA. My

oncologist is in Coeur d'Alene, ID, just 50 some miles north of here.

I started Gleevec in June, 2001 when it became available to the

public and have been on it since. I've never had any bad side effects

from it and it was a blessing after living a not-so-great life on

Interferon for four months. I didn't tolerate Interferon well at all

and landed on the couch for much of the four months I was on it. I

eventually required a platelet transfusion.

I look forward to meeting all I don't know and catching up with old

friends.
