Guest guest
Stacie, I do admire your courageous and positive attitude. I’m glad to hear you’re doing well. I haven’t posted in a long time. I had a colon cancer removed in February. It went well—early stage, not metasticized, all lymph nodes clear, no chemo or radiation, just close observation for the next few years. The anesthesiologist visited me the next day and said that my heart behaved perfectly throughout the surgery. They didn’t turn the ICD off, just put a magnet on it. I was hospitalized almost 10 days because of un-planned for bleeding from the internal incision. They gave me too much blood thinner (Enoxaparin (sp?)) too soon. Scary as that was, by the 10th day I was chomping at the bit to get out of the hospital and was stronger than if I’d been sent home on the 4th or 5th day. Oh well, things balance out it seems. Be well to all, Teri
