Guest guest
Thanks , that makes me feel a bit better. Just feel like I have been hit with a sledge hammer and my doctor seemed so indifferent. I once had to wait over 2 months for results which I found deplorable. I think a reasonable wait would be about 2 weeks though. Most doctors do know the patient has CML before the biopsy results come back. The biopsy is like the rubber stamp. When I questioned my doctor how he could be so sure before the confirmation was made with the biopsy he said " if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it usually is a duck " . We've all walked in your shoes and can tell you now from hindsight, that things do get better. Try to relax a bit and know that you will be ok. Your life will have a different focus for a while but you'll be fine and you'll most likely be able to resume a normal lifestyle (whatever that means) once you settle into things. Guest guest
I have been given a choice once my results come back . I can either go to a specialist at the new hospital in Brampton, Ontario Canada or Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontaio Canada. Does anyone have any idea which one might be better? I live half way between the two. Thanks Eva @...: evaob365@...: Sun, 9 Mar 2008 17:18:56 -0400Subject: RE: [ ] Re:Hi... Eva Thanks , that makes me feel a bit better. Eva>> Funny (sad funny, not ha-ha funny) how something that is so incredibly life changing, that stops you in your tracks and changes your life seems so 'whatever' to a doctor. I know they've seen it before, they understand that your life will most likely get back on track... but darnit- they get paid an awful lot not to have more compassion.
