Guest guest
For those of you interested in the pleural effusions that some people on Sprycel can get, here's a brief article that describes it. http://jco.ascopubs.org/cgi/content/abstract/25/25/3908 The article suggests that people on the twice daily dose have a slightly higher risk of developing the effusions as do people in more advanced phases of the disease. Management of the effusions include drug holidays, diuretics, systemic steroids, and thoracentesis (removing the fluid with a needle).
