Guest guest
Donna, Just one more thing to consider. (I know you were bombarded.) I agree with everything that has been said, but I also think you should consider the timing etc. GOD forbid, you may become uninsured. (it's a slippery slope, I know!) I read that the first year of diagnosis is the optimal time to get a BMT. If you're fully insured and such why not take advantage and continue to receive the best possible medical care you can. (ie, get BMB as recc but with sedation) If there is the possiblity that BMT is the option or would become one soon, have everything in place just in case. I really don't mean to say you're lucky etc.. but if you didn't have insurance you wouldn't have the luxery of even considering BMT as a back up. BMT docs know their stuff and so do CML experts. I wish I had the opp to consult one. Please don't take it too lightly. GOOD luck. HOPE Gleevac remains it for ya!! Marrianne
