Guest guest
Sue I had the endometrial ablasion last Nov because of horrible periods caused by Gleevec. I had the little surgery done in my Doctors office because I was worried about Hospital infections (I know they are not such an epidemic here but I am from England and MRSA is pretty common there so I am a little sensitive as many family members have caught MRSA and several others are Nurses and say it is very bad) I was not under sedation and it only took about 90 seconds. It was SO worth it. I am having no problems at all now. Halleluya for modern medicine! I was kinda sad that I would not be able to have a baby anymore but what am I thinking I am 48 and have 4 kids (2 grown) and a Grandson...my kids would have disowned me if I had got pregnant again...it would be gross to asume their Mum did things like that!!!!! Regards Donna PS from UK: this is not a dig about the NHS but my personal experience and opinion. > > Dear Sue, > There is a simple surgery for your problem - endometrial abalation. Please go to this website and read about it. > Ablation is an alternative to hysterectomy for many women with heavy uterine bleeding, does that sound like something you would be interested in? You would be back on your feet and running in just a couple of days. Don't suffer needlessly. > http://www.heavybleeding.com/endometrial_ablation.htm > Good luck, been there, done that, but the surgery wasn't available then for me.. > Blessings, > Lottie > >

Guest guest
Hey Sue, Absolutely NO negative side effects. Went home after and laid down expecting to feel something, but nothing no cramps nothing!!!! I atribute the heavy periods to Gleevec.
