Guest guest
Dear Eva, I took Hydrea for 4 years in a trial and that didn't happen to me. My dose would go up or down every week, depending on what my counts were. When I went on my washout period from Hydrea to Inteferon, they have me 12 a day to keep my counts down and I looked like I had reverse vitaligo, with big brown spots all over my body, so they stopped it. I did have funny noises in my ears, like putting my ears up to a telephone post and listening to the sounds emitted from the electricity hooked to the poles. I'm sorry that you had such a drastic thing happen to you, that's why we need to be in close contact with a doctor and I hope you were able to get one pronto. Things will level out for you once you get on Gleevec. What you described was what I experienced when I was on Inteferon and that definitely gives you chills and fever and a lot of pain. Be patient and give it time, you will soon be singing its praises and on your way to CCR. Blessings, Lottie
