Guest guest Posted April 1, 2008 Report Share Posted April 1, 2008 Hello, I do not have CML, but am the caregiver for my husband, Bob, who has it. I was put on that drug a few weeks ago and my body went crazy! I lost the hair on my legs and other places, I was extremely short of breath, retained so much fluid I gained 7 pounds in a couple days, and was so fatigued I could hardly function. I check on the internet and found that these side effects were supposedly felt by only 1% of patients. But I stopped taking it, of course, and it took me about a week and a half to recover completely.
