Guest guest
Bobby- Thanks for the kind reply. I have been checked and have also had pneumonia a couple of times. The chronic shortness of breath that I was mentioning is related to mostly the side effects of the anemia. When my H & H (hemoglobin and hematocrit) start to drop, I really noticed the increased fatigue as well as the shortness of breath and chest discomfort. Not SOB and chest pain that you would normally have with cardiac or lung issues, more from the low counts and fatigue. I hope that makes sense..... Thank you for responding as I think it is very important for us all to listen to our bodies and if something doesn't sound right or feel right, that we get it checked out. Especially while on these sort of drugs. Also, monitoring your weight on a daily basis will let you know as you start accumulating additional fluids. Best wishes to all-- Hugs and Hope- 35 CML 5/13/05 Gleevec 800mg until 8/07 Spyrcel 100 mg since 9/07 Wife and mother of 3 (12,9,7) **************It's Tax Time! Guest guest
Hi , tee hee, I DO monitor my weight and it goes up and up and up !!! I am also on 30 mg Prednisone a day, keeps me starving all the time. I forgot about the side effect of anemia, I am doing better there lately, my hgb is 11.6 this week. It's always something. I go to Dr. Talpaz at the U. of Mich in Ann Arbor, I started with him at MDACC with the BMS trial, then he moved to Ann Arbor. It's closer for me, I can drive there from where I live, which is outside Cleveland, OH. Have a great day, Bobby vegasrnjen@... wrote: Bobby- Thanks for the kind reply.
