Guest guest
Hm, I never was successful to unmold them after 20 seconds!!!! I always let them sit them over night, but I use another recipe, maybe I should try yours one day. When using eo’s blends use: 2 tsp of eo blend (ocean scents like rosemary, some trees) 2 caps chlorophyll for colour use shell mold When using “Sweetgrass” FO use: 2 tsp FO (plus a little vanilla FO) 1 caps Beta Carotene, sprinkling of chamomile in mold use heart mold When using “Pear” FO use: 2 tsp sweet yellow pear FO 2 caps Beta Carotene use teddy bear mold Procedures: 1.Sanitize counters, implements, tubes, caps, measuring cups, and wash hands (or use latex gloves). Use 20% bleach (1 cup bleach and 4 cups water). 2.Make sure all the molds are clean and dry. I use Wilton individual cake molds, about 6 oz bombs - teddy bear, shell, heart. 3.Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Blend very well. 4.Mix wet ingredients together, drizzle using a teaspoon into the mix, stir until fully distributed. Whiz in mini food processor for a few seconds. Hand mold 5-6 bath bombs for 20 seconds or so, really push it all in hard to get details of mold. Unmold onto paper towels and let sit 24hrs. When hard, shrink-wrap and label on the back. These harden up in a day or so like little bricks My fragrance with the eo's could be a tad stronger, but it's already at about 15-drops per bath in this recipe. The FO seems stronger at the same usage level. The good thing is that the bomb doesn't leave an oily residue like others I've made with oils, or with cocoa butter. They do fizz a bit from the water added, but not so much they don't lose their shape after molding, and they still take a couple minutes in the bath to dissolve. hth Tamara Zyganiuk www.spellboundbotanicals.com July 1 Issue of " The Spellbinder " is Online NOW Coming soon: " Spellbound Botanicals " E-store
