I found someone else who goes besides me. I will be leaving on April

6, we will just miss each other. I want to wish you luck. I'm trying

to get my appt. changed from the 8th to the 7th so we can travel on

Sunday and not have my husband lose an extra day of work. I always try

to get him to take a day of rest, but he's up with the chickens next

morning. May I ask who you see over there? I see Dr. Kantarjarian and

my research nurse is Pat Cole. I hope all goes well for you (and for

myself). LOL.

Donna, Rhonda and Lottie, is there anyone else who goes to MDACC? Please

announce when you are going and we just might be able to meet up one of these

days in the near future. I have been going for 8 years and have met many of my

cyber friends there. If they live along the route I am traveling, I will stop

and meet them there, too. Sometimes I am the first person with CML that they

have met. You know because of privacy laws, they can't introduce you to each

other in the waiting room. We used to have some lab techs who used little

underground tactics. They would pass my name and phone number to newcomers and

tell them to call me. I am going to join LLS as a " First Connection " , so when

they get a new registered member, they will be able to contact me. I'm just

waiting for the person to return from maternity leave. I only wish I had that

opportunity when I was first diagnosed. I find there are many ways we can help

each other out, and one is posting right here. You don't have to go out of your

way, just introduce yourself and if you have information or feel you would like

to connect with someone with a brief message about your own journey, this is the

forum. Maybe you know how to get free medicine, free lodging, and free flights.
