Are there any scents that should be used with caution with certain

individuals.. ie.. pregnant women, people with high blood pressure?

Charlene, there are many oils with you should use with caution. You will

find many websites full of information about esential oils, e.g. my own ;-)

I think it's really important to know about oils and when you can use it or

not.

PENNYROYAL, ok maybe not a scent, but read info on it causing abortions.

i noticed this topic came up again -

pennyroyal, despite its bad reputation, is not an abortifacient. it's an

emmenagogue. it was misused by women who would ingest quantities of the

*oil,* at which point they would either die or expulse from liver toxicity.

pennyroyal tea is only slightly more dangerous than peppermint or sage.

however, people who are prone to miscarriages should avoid pennyroyal along

with most mints, diuretics, and laxatives anyway.

butch, want to add to this? i seem to remember you having a few choice

words on this issue...
